What your guests don’t see

The POS system for your whole mini golf venue.

On your course, guests cheer, groan and debate that one decisive shot. Families spend time together. Friends discover a competitive streak. And a team outing reveals who still wants to win with a putter in their hand.

Behind the counter, plenty happens to let your guests focus on their round: finding bookings, selling admission, welcoming groups, taking payment for drinks, answering questions and preparing the next start.

Megara connects these everyday tasks. From the first booking through ticket sales and equipment hire charges to the last drink, customer cards and end-of-day reporting. Reception, kiosk and café share one POS system.

For small courses with a personal welcome. For glowing indoor worlds and adventure courses. For mini golf within a larger leisure park. And for teams who want to stay in control on a busy Saturday.

01 / WELCOME TO THE WEEKEND

Saturday, 3:20 pm.
Everything happens at once.

The next group is already at reception. A family wants to play without a reservation. Two friends have booked but cannot find their confirmation. Someone is waiting for drinks at the counter. And the group about to pay adds: “Actually, could we pay separately?”

Meanwhile, you hand out putters, explain the way to the first hole and keep an eye on whether the next group can start comfortably.

Explore the process

These are the moments that show how well your everyday processes have been prepared.

Megara brings ticket sales, the booking overview and your POS into a shared workflow. Your team can look up existing bookings, select the right services and complete the sale. Drinks and snacks belong in the same process.

Popular items can be arranged clearly, with quantities, prices and options already set up. Your team has fewer routine decisions to work out in their head.

That leaves attention for what should stay personal: a friendly welcome, clear instructions and a little help for someone visiting for the first time.

A good welcome sets the direction for the whole visit.

02 / TICKETS & START TIMES

The next round starts
with a clear overview.

Minigolf has its own rhythm. Some guests arrive early; others arrive at the last minute. A family takes its time while a group of friends moves quickly. If too many people start at once, excitement can soon turn into a queue at the first hole.

Suitable start times and defined capacities help you prepare for the flow of visitors.

Explore the process

Megara supports timed offers with scheduled sessions, available places and an overview of bookings and provisional reservations. Your team can see which times are popular and where there is room within the planned capacity.

That helps with a walk-in enquiry as much as with preparing for the weekend.

Your calendar follows your course.

A regular weekday may need different start intervals from a school holiday. You may want to allow extra time for a larger group. A special session might only be available by arrangement.

These differences belong in the setup of your offers. Together, we establish the times, capacities and booking rules that make sense for your business.

We also account for the fact that a free place in the calendar alone does not guarantee an easy start. Instructions, handing out putters and the actual pace on the course all belong in the planning.

The booking overview gives your team a dependable basis for their decisions.

03 / BOOKED ONLINE. ARRIVED IN PERSON.

“We have a booking.”
Now the details matter.

To a guest, this sounds straightforward. At reception, it can mean different things: a reservation to be paid on arrival, a ticket already paid for or a group enquiry held provisionally.

Your team needs to know what was agreed and what still needs doing.

Explore the process

Megara distinguishes booking and payment statuses. Existing booking data helps identify the session, participants and services, so the next step can be handled according to the booking.

Connect the booking channels you already use.

An integration with bookingkit connects event, booking and ticket data with Megara. If you use this platform, we can align your online sales channel with your on-site process.

We also establish where sessions are managed and changes are made. This is especially important when guests reschedule, add participants or want to cancel a booking.

We assess other reservation and ticket platforms according to the integrations they offer.

The aim is a clear process from the online offer to reception: your team should be able to see what has been done and what the guest still needs on arrival.

04 / OFFERS, VOUCHERS & CUSTOMER CARDS

A great offer.
Plenty of reasons to return.

An adult, two children and someone accompanying them. A school class with an agreed group rate. An offer for quieter weekdays. Perhaps a birthday package including a drink.

Family rates, member prices and group offers: Megara makes different terms easy to select. Gift vouchers and reloadable customer cards give guests another reason to plan their next round.

Explore the process

Item variants, price levels and special terms support different admission rates and offers. Admission, club hire and a drink can be entered in the same sale. Configured package prices and extras reflect what your venue offers.

Item images, options and extras make choices clearer at the till and in your configured self-order menu. A straightforward selection replaces a long explanation: which round, which extra, and which drink to go with it?

There is always another round.

Set up individual terms for members, clubs or other customer groups. Assigned discounts and prices are applied within the configured workflow. We agree eligibility, validity and combinations with you.

Gift vouchers turn a future visit into a present: for a birthday, a thank-you or the next family day out. Sales and redemption form part of the checkout workflow, with terms defined for your offering.

Reloadable customer cards give returning guests a balance to spend. Depending on the setup, it can cover admission, food and drink, and other services. Top-ups, purchases and the remaining balance can be tracked.

A great round today.
A good reason to come back tomorrow.

05 / BIRTHDAYS & GROUPS

Plenty of excitement.
Plenty of little arrangements.

The children want to start right away. The parents want to know when food will be served. Someone accompanying the group will arrive later. And the original ten children have become eleven.

A birthday party brings several tasks together: participants, the start of play, drinks, food, a possible birthday table and payment at the end.

Explore the process

Megara helps you organise bookings and their services in a way your team can follow. Contact details and notes help reception find the arrangements again. Admission, included services and additional sales are set up to match your offer.

Play first or pizza first?

Either can work. What matters is that your team knows the agreed plan.

A booking note can record whether the group wants to eat first, when the birthday table is needed or what special request was discussed. Food orders can be assigned to the intended table or transaction.

Additional drinks stay as easy to track as the services included in the booking.

We plan table allocation and timing with the kitchen around your business. Reception and the serving team get a shared process to work with.

Even a large group is made up of individual guests.

School classes, club outings and corporate events have different numbers of participants, contact people and payment preferences.

Megara supports group bookings and group tickets. The agreed services can be included in the bill, with the appropriate invoice details recorded.

That is particularly useful when one person organises, many people attend and a company receives the invoice at the end.

06 / ADMISSION & EQUIPMENT

A quick check.
Then your course takes centre stage.

At the entrance, excitement meets organisation.

Showing tickets, checking validity, handing out putters and balls, and perhaps explaining the 3D glasses on a blacklight course: your team has several jobs at once.

Explore the process

Megara ticket checking supports a clear admission process. Tickets can be recognised and redeemed. Previously used tickets are identified accordingly.

For group tickets, the system can distinguish tickets that are still available from those already redeemed. That helps when a group does not arrive together or individual participants turn up later.

As much technology as your reception needs.

A handheld QR-code scanner may be all a staffed entrance needs. Compatible turnstiles or other access systems can check valid tickets and release access. We configure the checkpoint, hardware and ticket rules together.

We plan the scanner, checkpoint and equipment handout to suit your space. The route for families, pushchairs and guests with reduced mobility belongs in that plan too.

Hire clubs, balls or 3D glasses belong in the same visitor journey. Hire charges and flat fees can be set up as items and sold alongside admission; for time-based offers, we review the appropriate timed-item setup. We plan issue, return and the stock checks you need around your actual operation.

The welcome stays personal while admission follows a clear process.

07 / DRINKS, SNACKS & WHAT COMES NEXT

The last ball has dropped.
The evening can carry on.

The winner has been decided. The supposed favourite is still explaining what went wrong at hole seven. And everyone rather fancies another drink.

A kiosk, café or small restaurant: with Megara, drinks, ice cream, snacks and meals share a POS system with admission. The visit remains connected even after the final hole.

Explore the process

Admission, hire charges and refreshments can be combined in one transaction. Record items, quantities, variants and special requests, then assign them to the right table or sales workflow. Guests do not need a separate purchase for every service.

Whether guests pay immediately or settle a combined bill depends on your concept.

The order reaches the people who need it.

If you prepare food or run several serving points, the digital kitchen display can help your teams work together.

Orders remain assigned to their table or area. Notes and special requests accompany the items. The team can mark orders as in progress and ready; outstanding quantities and waiting times stay visible.

That helps when pizza for a group is being prepared alongside regular drink sales.

Another drink without queuing again.

In suitable seating areas, QR-Order can add another way to order. Guests open the ordering page using the QR code at their table and choose from the configured menu.

Combine table management, table reservations, personal service and QR ordering to suit your venue. For a birthday party, cake and drinks can be assigned to the reserved table while regular sales continue at the counter.

08 / SELFORDER

An additional sales point
for the busiest hours.

On some days, a personal welcome is all you need. On others, a small queue forms even though several guests simply want to buy tickets or order a drink.

A SelfOrder terminal can support your team with recurring sales.

Explore the process

Guests select tickets and available extras themselves. Images and clear item options help them choose. Depending on the setup and hardware, payment and receipt or ticket printing follow directly at the terminal.

Meanwhile, your team can focus on instructions, groups and individual requests.

The right location makes a difference.

A terminal needs to be accessible and fit clearly into the visit. Guests should know what they can buy there and where to go afterwards.

That is why we plan the offer, on-screen wording, payment device, printer and location together. Multilingual content can help international guests find their way.

Whether your terminal mainly sells tickets, food and drinks or selected packages depends on your everyday processes.

An additional sales channel works best when the guest also knows what happens next.

09 / PAYMENTS & BILLING

Played separately.
Paid together. Or the other way round.

The company covers admission. Everyone pays for their own drinks. A family wants to settle everything together. And a group of friends only decides at the counter to request separate bills.

These requests are part of running a leisure business.

Explore the process

Megara supports assigning items and billing selected services separately. Your team can settle the requested part of a transaction and issue the appropriate receipts.

Cash, vouchers, configured customer cards and integrated electronic payment methods are tailored to your venue. The appropriate fiscal recording setup is planned alongside receipts and the allocation of your sales.

Your POS and card terminal should work together.

With a suitable integration, the amount is sent from the POS process to the terminal. That reduces manual entry and helps assign payments to the correct transaction.

Available functions depend on the terminal, payment provider and contract. We check existing devices before setup.

Preparing for cancelled payments and unclear responses is part of the process too. Your team needs an understandable procedure for checking what actually happened when something goes wrong.

A company outing deserves the right invoice.

For groups and business customers, correct invoice details matter. Company name, address and the agreed details need to belong to the right business.

Printed receipts, invoices and configured accounting exports support further processing.

The visit ends well for the person who passes the paperwork to their accounts department the next morning, too.

One group. Different preferences.

10 / YOUR TEAM'S EVERYDAY WORK

Even your newest colleague
should be able to keep track.

Leisure businesses often work with different shifts, part-time staff and temporary team members. At weekends, everyone needs to work together even when the most experienced person is not at every station.

A well-configured POS makes recurring tasks easier to follow.

Explore the process

Megara supports item selection with a clear arrangement, pictures and stored options. Frequent sales can be kept within easy reach. User permissions help allocate tasks and allowed functions.

Setup starts with real situations.

During training, we work through the tasks your team actually needs: finding a reservation, selling several tickets, adding a drink, creating a receipt or handling a correction.

Staff food and drinks and internal discounts also deserve clear rules. Special conditions can be assigned to different people or groups and limited to the intended areas.

We discuss any additional approvals and responsibilities you need in light of the available functions.

The aim is a team that can handle everyday tasks confidently and knows when to ask for support.

11 / STOCK & INVENTORY

The best time to fill the fridges
is before the rush.

On Friday, the drink stock still looks plentiful. By Saturday evening, the most popular variety is running low. Meanwhile, nobody is quite sure whether there is another case in the back room.

Stock management helps you prepare replenishment.

Explore the process

Megara supports item stock levels, incoming goods, stock movements and supplier orders. Multiple storage locations help organise supplies according to where they actually are. Defined minimum quantities make low stock easier to spot.

With item and consumption assignments maintained accordingly, sales feed into stock management.

Count while things are still quiet.

For an inventory count, your team can identify items using a smartphone camera or barcode scanner and enter the quantities on hand.

The report compares counted quantities with recorded stock. Differences can be traced and results exported as a table.

That gives you a better basis for ordering and internal checks.

Drinks, sweets, packaged snacks and retail items become part of a stock process you can follow.

Well-prepared replenishment helps you offer even the last guests of the day their favourite drink.

12 / REPORTS & END-OF-DAY CLOSE

The course was full.
Now you want to know the story behind it.

Which admission offers do guests buy? Which drinks sell particularly well? How do weekdays differ? And how are sales distributed across your areas?

Megara provides daily reports and breakdowns by item, product group, payment method and staff member. Understand recorded sales, compare periods and see which offers are most popular.

Explore the process

That gives you pointers for practical decisions: adjust your range, review an offer or prepare for the next busy day.

Ticket sales and visitor numbers tell different stories.

A ticket sold is not yet a recorded admission. We therefore consider sales data and any configured visitor counting according to their respective purpose.

Visitor numbers and occupancy become meaningful when admissions, time slots and capacity are recorded appropriately. We establish which data your setup provides and which useful measures can be derived from it.

A clear close to a long day.

After a busy day, you want to check payments, complete the close and be able to find the paperwork again.

Megara supports end-of-day closes, receipts and passing on accounting data. Accounting exports are available, including DATEV.

We configure accounts, mappings and the process with your accounting team to suit your business.

You can then focus on the results and use them to plan the next day.

13 / TECHNOLOGY THAT FITS YOUR BUSINESS

A busy venue.
A solid foundation.

A local server forms the foundation of the Megara POS system. Tills and other configured stations work together over your course's internal network.

Short connections within your own network support an efficient checkout, especially on weekends, public holidays and event days. Local till operation does not require a permanent internet connection.

Explore the process

If the internet connection drops, locally available POS functions can continue as long as the server, power supply and internal network are working. Tickets already stored locally can be checked in an appropriately configured process.

Online functions need their connection.

New bookings from external platforms first need to be transferred. Public QR orders, external payment services and remote access may still require internet access.

Offline fiscal recording also depends on the solution in use. We coordinate the fiscal setup with the workflows available during an internet outage, so your team knows how to continue.

Plan for the change of day too.

When closing, backups and the first sales of the next day meet, the processes need to fit together.

That is why we also look at opening hours, closing times and the technical routines in the background. Clear guidance and an agreed procedure for your team are part of that.

A sensible setup comes from how devices, network, software and the people using them every day work together.

Close to your course.

14 / MULTIPLE LOCATIONS & PERSONAL SUPPORT

Keep an eye on your business.
Even when you are somewhere else.

Perhaps it starts with one course. Perhaps you already run several locations with different teams, offers and opening hours.

A familiar way of working becomes particularly valuable.

Explore the process

Multiple tills at your venue use shared items, prices and offers. For several locations, we plan consistent master data and agree the synchronisation required. Location-specific pricing, invoice details and other differences are taken into account.

With configured remote access, you can access each system and retrieve its available reports.

Share experience. Keep each location's character.

A new course can benefit from the experience of an existing location. At the same time, it needs a setup that suits its space, team and offers.

We establish which settings can be adopted and which processes need separate planning. Any desired comparison between locations is part of that discussion too.

Someone to turn to, behind your team.

Your busiest hours often start when other people finish work.

That is why personal support is part of Megara: consultation, setup, training, and telephone and digital support around the clock. We agree on-site assistance and the right level of service with you.

We get to know your processes, prepare the start together and remain available as you run your business.

GOOD QUESTIONS BEFORE THE FIRST ROUND

Good to know.
Before your first round.

Does Megara also suit a small minigolf course?

Yes. We start with your actual tasks. For a small course, ticket sales, counter service and the end-of-day close may be the focus. Other modules can be added when needed. We put the setup together around your team, offer and existing devices.

Does Megara also suit indoor mini golf and leisure parks?

Yes. Whether you run a classic course, adventure golf, a blacklight venue or mini golf in a leisure park, ticket types, time slots, admission, groups and extras are tailored to your concept. Kiosk, food service and other sales areas can share the same POS system.

Can guests reserve first and pay on arrival?

Yes, an appropriately configured booking process can provide for reservations with payment on arrival. The booking status needs to stay clear. For an external platform, we check which information is transferred and how your team continues the transaction at the till.

Can we offer birthday parties with drinks and food?

The associated tickets, items and food sales can be organised in a coordinated process. Participants, contact details and booking notes help with preparation. We plan package contents, additional sales, table organisation and serving around your actual offers.

Do we have to replace our existing booking platform?

That depends on your platform and the functions you need. An integration with bookingkit is available. We assess other systems based on their interfaces. Together, we also establish where bookings are changed and how POS and online sales work together.

Can we keep our existing card terminals?

We check the provider, device and available integration. This determines whether the terminal can be connected and which functions it can offer. Amount transfer, payment confirmation and further functions depend on the supported connection.

Does the POS work during an internet outage?

Locally available POS functions can continue if the server, power and internal network remain operational. External bookings, certain payment methods and remote access still need their connection. We establish exactly which processes will remain available for your course.

How do we prepare for the switch?

Together, we look at ticket offers, booking channels, prices, groups, food service, devices and accounting. This forms the basis for setup, any data transfer and training. Before launch, we go through the most important everyday situations with your team.

YOUR COURSE IS UNIQUE. YOUR WAY OF WORKING CAN BE TOO.

Tell us about your course.

About quiet Tuesdays. About busy Saturdays. About the group with just one more question. And about those little detours behind the counter that add up every day.

We listen and show you how Megara brings ticketing, access, hire charges, food service, stock control and customer cards together for your venue. We discuss special requirements with you and explore a suitable individual solution.

So your team keeps track.
